Seattle’s Cubix North Park Wins Modular Building Award

Seattle, Cubix North Park, Modular Building Institute, NextGen Housing Partners, Jackson | Main Architecture,

SEATTLE, WA – The Cubix North Park modular development has been awarded the Modular Building Institute Award of Distinction, Honorable Mention for the Best Permanent Modular Multifamily Project in 2019. The award was announced at the 2019 World of Modular Conference in Las Vegas in mid-March.

The award is notable because the developer and designer are both first-time entrants into the Modular Building Institute’s award program. It was noted during the ceremony that winning any award on a debut entry is an unusual accomplishment.

Developed by NextGen Housing Partners (formerly Parkstone Properties), and designed by Jackson | Main Architecture, Cubix North Park is a modular mixed-use residential property with 101 micro-suites, two retail spaces and seven live/work units. Located near Aurora Avenue North in Seattle, North Park opened in December 2018, and is currently over 40% leased. The facility features innovative residential amenities including a transit package, catering to working professionals in Seattle.

NextGen and Jackson | Main Architecture are currently building another modular residential development in the Othello Park neighborhood that is scheduled for on-site assembly this coming July.

More information on Cubix North Park’s modular construction process is available on www.jacksonmain.com/modular.

Jackson | Main Architecture is an architectural design firm founded in 2015 and based in Seattle and Kansas City.
