NEW YORK CITY (SEPTEMBER 7, 2016) — Hightower, the leading leasing management platform for the commercial real estate industry, today announced the appointment of Andrew Rains as Executive Vice President of Sales and Marketing.
Andrew brings over 25 years of sales and marketing leadership to Hightower. His reputation for building strong organizations has been proven many times over — most recently at The Rainmaker Group, where he served as Chief Revenue Officer and President, and before that at Intuit (MRI) where he was Global Vice President of Sales & Marketing, Oracle, PeopleSoft, JD Edwards, and CBRE. His dedication to partnering with customers to ensure their success has earned him hundreds of trusted connections within the CRE industry. He is also a respected thought leader and sought-after speaker for conferences such as Realcomm and ICSC. His insights are regularly quoted in major publications including The Wall Street Journal, CNN, and others.
“Andrew has a very unique combination of proven sales leadership and deep commercial real estate domain experience,” said Brandon Weber, Hightower’s founder and chief executive officer. “His success over the years has earned him the trust of the leading commercial owners, and he is a respected brand in the industry. I look forward to partnering with him to take Hightower’s sales organization to the next level as we scale internationally and across industry segments.”
Andrew will help the Hightower team accelerate its growth across North America and Europe. In the first half of 2016 the company grew almost 100%, welcomed 44 new leading owners and brokerage firms to the platform, signed a strategic enterprise agreement with JLL, finalized a product partnership with Argus, and launched retail- and industrial-specific platforms. The company also recently opened an office in London, cementing its focus on the European market.
“I am so impressed with the impact Hightower has already had on commercial real estate,” said Andrew Rains. “After spending time with the all of the players in CRE tech, Hightower clearly stood out in terms of leadership, vision, product, and commitment to customers. Every person I met with was so dedicated to building a great company and helping customers achieve outstanding results — I am eager to be part of that kind of environment.”
“I’ve worked with Andrew for years and am always impressed by his thoughtfulness and commitment to deliver value to customers,” said David Stanford, Founder and Executive Managing Director of Real Foundations. “He and Hightower share that same reputation, and I’m excited to see the outcomes.”
