SEATTLE—September 7, 2016 – With construction complete and 85 percent of the building pre-sold, LUMA Condominiums begins welcoming new residents this month, opening the doors to its modern homes, impressive amenities and a one-of-a-kind collection of commissioned Northwest artworks. Sales for the 168 unit, 24-story condominium tower total 143 homes now under contract.

“Buyers have really responded to the iconic First Hill neighborhood location as well as the classic finishes with a modern twist and boutique size of the project.” says Suzi Morris, Development Director for Lowe Enterprises. “In our first week of being able to tour prospects through the entire building and show finished units, we’ve had 11 sales!”

Not only does LUMA possess an outstanding address, being sited on one of the highest hills in Seattle amid tree-lined streets and adjacent to the Pike-Pine Corridor, one of the City’s most exuberant and interesting neighborhoods, it is the first condominium project built in First Hill since 1982. LUMA also features LEED Silver design and award-winning interiors from Seattle architect Weber Thompson along with an array of community-oriented amenities.

One of LUMA’s most engaging features is its 24th floor. The rooftop community space offers an expansive clubroom and fireplace lounge, cozy library with a private dining room with seating for eight or more and a catering kitchen. The outside terrace affords numerous gathering spaces, including a fire pit, a barbecue grill station and tiled soaking pool overlooking expansive views of downtown Seattle, Mount Rainier, Elliott Bay and Lake Union. The second floor features a fitness center complete with TRX system, water propelled rowing machines as well as traditional equipment, while at ground level, LUMA provides a full-time concierge staff to tap for restaurant recommendations, connections and reservations, theater and concert tickets, service and repair appointments. And lest a favored member of the family be forgotten, there’s a pet run more closely resembling an indoor putting green for those days when the weather outside is not so accommodating. The pet lounge comes complete with viewing parlor for pet parents and a salon for bathing and grooming the more adventurous breeds.

For the human inhabitants of LUMA, Lowe Enterprises worked with curator Stacie Feinstein to commission a group of Seattle artists to create a custom collection of works for LUMA’s public spaces. The collection ranges from abstract pieces by Nicholas Nyland and Jennifer Ament reflecting the project’s clean, modern design to more whimsical selections of Brent Smith and Jules Frazier’s back-lit photography and Celeste Cooning’s elegant cutwork sculpture suspended from the lobby ceiling.

To celebrate the grand opening, LUMA is hosting a summer rooftop party, complete with a celebrity chef burger battle, craft cocktail pairings by local bartenders and furnished model tours. The event is set for September 22, from 6 to 9 pm.

Located at 1321 Seneca Street, LUMA houses 168 condominium residences ranging in size from 600 square feet to more than 1,700 square feet. A variety of homes are still available with one-bedroom residences offering spectacular views and priced from the high-$500,000s, and two-bedroom homes ranging from the high-$700,000s to the low-$1,300,000s.

The LUMA sales center is now located in the building and is open daily from 11 am to 5 pm to provide prospective buyers with the opportunity to tour finished units and amenities spaces and take in the dynamic city views. Although walk-ins are welcome, appointments are recommended.

Residential marketing and sales company Red Propeller co-listed the project with McAvoy Real Estate. Lease Crutcher Lewis is the general contractor for the project and Weber Thompson served as architect, interior designer and landscape architect for LUMA.
