SEATTLE (March 20th 2018) – Weber Thompson has promoted six women in the firm including one new Senior Associate, three Associates, and two marketing team members.
Kirsten Clemens AIA, LEED AP BD+C has been promoted to Senior Associate. New Associates include: Noelle Galicia LEED AP BD+C; Susan Frieson AIA, LEED AP; and Landscape Architect Michele Richmond PLA, ASLA, SITES AP, LEED Green Assoc. On the marketing team, Erin Hatch has been promoted to Marketing Director, and Allison Rose AMA, PCM has been promoted to Digital Marketing Specialist.
Weber Thompson’s newest Senior Associate Kirsten Clemens joined Weber Thompson in 2012 with an impressive portfolio and a deep commitment to sustainable design. During her tenure, she has proven to be a leader in all aspects of her work, cultivating strong relationships with clients, teams and the communities for which she designs. She has worked on a wide variety of projects for the firm including Helios, a downtown Seattle high rise; Pike Passive, a Passive House mixed-use project; the mixed-use development Ballard Blocks II; and Arbora Court, a family-oriented affordable housing project in Seattle’s University District. She is a board member for the Seattle Architecture Foundation (SAF), a member of WT’s internal Sustainabiliteam, and an integral participant in the firm’s marketing and public-oriented initiatives such as the Seattle Design Festival.
New Associate Noelle Galicia has been with the firm since 2013 and is an integral member of the firm’s Mid-Rise Studio. She is currently overseeing construction administration for Marlowe, the mid-rise component of a complex, half-block project located at 425 Fairview. Previously she worked on Westlake Steps and ONE Lakefront. Noelle is active in the firm’s Culture Club, helping plan events such as the firm’s annual holiday party. Outside the office, Noelle is an associate member of the AIA, and is an active volunteer with the Seattle Architecture Foundation, serving on the Model Exhibit Planning Committee. Earlier this year she was awarded the SAF Bill Strong Award for Volunteer Excellence.
Susan Frieson has also been promoted to Associate. Susan joined the firm in 2013 and is a member of the firm’s High Rise and Hospitality Design studios and is currently working on the multi-building, mixed-use project Elan in Bellevue. Previously she worked on Nexus, a high-rise condominium that’s under construction in Seattle’s Denny Triangle neighborhood and Ascent, the high-rise component of 425 Fairview. She has been an active volunteer with AIA Seattle, is currently serving as the Diversity Roundtable Co-Chair, which received AIA Seattle’s 2017 Committee of the Year award. Additionally, she participates in marketing the firm’s Affordable Housing Design Studio, working to increase dialogue about the necessity of diverse, equitable communities.
Landscape Architect Michele Richmond has been promoted to Associate. Michele is a Project Manager and licensed Landscape Architect, contributing to the firm’s many landscape projects ranging from the LeMay Rodin Sculpture Garden to the Othello Square master plan. She’s a member of WT’s SustainabiliTeam and helps plan the firm’s Pin-Up Studio charrettes, where she’s a regular advocate for the virtues of well-designed urban landscapes. Externally, she is chair of the WASLA Student & Emerging Professionals Committee, leading the study groups for the LARE exam, and is a Tree Ambassador for the City of Seattle. She is involved with her local alumni associations for Harvard’s Graduate School of Design and Barnard College.
Erin Hatch has been promoted to Marketing Director. Erin has been with the firm since 2012, and was promoted to Senior Associate in 2017. Erin directs the firm’s overall marketing efforts and leads strategic marketing planning for the firm’s multiple design studios including Commercial Office, Affordable Housing, Interior Design and Landscape Architecture. Additionally, she leads the firm’s internal Culture Club, directs WT’s involvement in external efforts such as the Seattle Design Festival and SAF Model Exhibit, and trains and engages a wide range of staff in marketing and business development activities. She is active in the Seattle chapter of the Society for Marketing Professional Services, and is currently serving as President-Elect.
Allison Rose has worked at Weber Thompson since 2016 and has been promoted from Marketing Coordinator to Digital Marketing Specialist. Allison is responsible for the firm’s digital presence including the website, blog and social media channels. She works with a wide range of staff throughout the firm to generate creative content for award submittals and the firm’s digital channels, in addition to supporting the firm’s overall marketing and outreach efforts. She has a Bachelor of Fine Arts in Graphic Design from Fairleigh Dickinson University and recently became a Professional Certified Marketer specializing in Digital Marketing through the American Marketing Association.
