Seattle, WA – The Society for Marketing Professional Services (SMPS) Seattle Chapter has awarded two Pacific Regional Conference (PRC) Scholarships to current SMPS Members Sandy Chapin and Craig Tyler. These two Pacific Regional Conference scholarships will be used by the recipients for conference registration and up to $525 for lodging and/or transportation expenses, a total value of $1,000 each.
The entries for the PRC scholarship were juried by a selection of SMPS Members based on their SMPS involvement and proven benefit to the applicants. Both of the winning applicants cited personal and professional growth as primary motivators for attending the conference.
Sandy Chapin, former SMPS Seattle Chapter President, noted, “attendance at PRC would give me the opportunity to reconnect with many of the national and chapter leaders I know and make new connections to strengthen my network.”
Craig Tyler, current SMPS Seattle Secretary, said that attending the PRC “offers a fantastic opportunity to grow as a professional and strengthen my ability to be a mentor to my fellow professional staff and marketing peers.”
The 2017 PRC conference will be held in Anchorage, Alaska from February 15-17th, and is an annual regional event hosted by ten SMPS chapters including Alaska, Hawaii, Las Vegas, Los Angeles, Orange County, Oregon, Sacramento, San Diego, San Francisco and Seattle. Each year, over a dozen presenters and keynote speakers are assembled from throughout the nation, allowing attendees to learn best practices in A/E/C marketing and business development.
