Seattle Real Estate Firm, Realogics Sotheby’s International Realty, Celebrates Milestone Tenth Anniversary

Boutique Brokerage Comprises $10 Billion in Active, Pending and Closed Sales; Leads New Developments

SEATTLE, March 2, 2020 — Executives of Realogics Sotheby’s International Realty (RSIR) are observing the progressive brokerage firm’s tenth anniversary in operations, at the same time as new statistics are released evidencing significant gains in regional market share and plans for further growth in broker count and production volumes.

“On behalf of our entire Executive Team, I’d like to acknowledge all of our 277 licensed brokers and 55 employees and full-time contractors for their tremendous efforts representing our global real estate network throughout the Pacific Northwest,” said Dean Jones, President & CEO of Realogics Sotheby’s International Realty. “Looking back, our story is one of vision, passion and momentum – evolving from a start-up of just a few change agents willing to challenge the industry status-quo, to becoming one of the most-respected real estate brands in the region. Now well established, we look forward to an unbridled future in one of the fastest-growing metro areas in the United States.”

Despite being the youngest and most boutique firm amongst the top ten largest brands by total sold dollar volumes, Realogics Sotheby’s International Realty has become a leader in luxury, volleying for the highest average sales prices representing buyers, sellers and production levels per agent. Grossing more than $1.65 billion in sales in 2019, the firm currently represents more than $432 million in active listings, dominating its peer group in total inventory per broker and representing the highest average listing prices at more than $2 million. And this impressive statistic doesn’t represent all of the firm’s business—when the new development inventory is considered, both on the market and in the pipeline, it adds more than $1.5 billion in additional listing activity.

“I credit our growth to trust, ethics and keeping good company – we are simply a collective of positive culture and collaboration,” said Stacy Jones, Chief People Officer of Realogics Sotheby’s International Realty. “Our brokers and clients know they are being represented by an extraordinary brand with exclusive marketing and demonstrated results – they are our partners and we work for them.”

The Sotheby’s International Realty® brand is consistently ranked among the most trusted in the industry while Realogy, the parent company of Sotheby’s International Realty Affiliates LLC, was recognized by Ethisphere among as “2020 World’s Most Ethical Companies®”. Each year, Realogics Sotheby’s International Realty is consistently profiled within the annual Book of Lists by the Puget Sound Business Journal for both “Washington’s 100 Fastest-Growing Private Companies” and “Largest Residential Real Estate Firms in the Puget Sound Region”.

“Over the past decade, Dean and Stacy Jones, along with their founding members and team of sales professionals, have built a strong Sotheby’s International Realty presence in the Pacific Northwest,” said Philip White, President and Chief Executive Officer, Sotheby’s International Realty. “Realogics Sotheby’s International Realty has become a leader in their important global market and we know they have no plans of slowing down their exceptional growth.”

In addition to the Joneses, White personally acknowledged the ongoing contributions of Stacia Smith, Designated Broker and Chief Sales Officer and Andrea Savage, Vice President of Marketing, for leading RSIR’s success. He also individually recognized the top 20 longest-standing RSIR brokers including: Julie Biniaz, Sandy Justen, Moira Holley, Gina Speer, Anton Krivenyshev, Jim Stroupe, Dennis Paige, Sonja Jones, Rick Maynard, Kristi Nelson, Sean Nielsen, Gigi Norwine, Jamie Michaud, Mark Middleton, Tracy Vaughn, Meg Burkett, Colin Foote, Brad Vancour, Barry Bergner and Enrico Pozzo.

Robyn Kimura Hsu was also one of the earliest brokers to join Realogics Sotheby’s International Realty in 2010 and has since returned many years later as Executive Director of Business Development.

“I’ve been around the block having experienced or explored several different real estate brands and offices only to return home to Realogics Sotheby’s International Realty, not just as a broker but as an ambassador for the brand and to curate our growth through additional broker appointments,” adds Hsu. “This brokerage moves to where the market is moving next and oftentimes, we lead the way.”

On February 27, 2020 more than 250 members of the RSIR Nation gathered for a champagne toast at The Seattle Design Center and learned of the 2020 goals for growth, which included the impending grand opening of the new Bellevue flagship branch and lifestyle showroom; expansion within the New Developments, the Land Division, and the Asia Services Group; establishment of a new Relocation Department; and doubling down on the firm’s vertically integrated marketing agency, led in part by a Steering Committee of RSIR brokers. Among the exclusive 2020 commitments, RSIR listings will be featured on both GeekWire’s “Geek Home of the Week” and Puget Sound Business Journal’s “Home of the Day” online portals, while in print, the firm will publish its quarterly RESIDE® magazine with Dow Jones, which is further distributed in Wall Street Journal regionally. Meanwhile, a newly launched corporate website leads in global ranking with more than 34 million visitors in 2019, while Sotheby’s International Realty’s YouTube channel has more subscribers than of any residential real estate brand.

“As we enter our next decade, Realogics Sotheby’s International Realty will offer individual brokers the best seat in our industry for their professional growth,” concludes Jones. “Simply put, we will generate the highest average selling prices, listing volumes and production on a per broker basis compared with our peer group, all the while retaining them the greatest average commission rates and increasing their market share.”
