Despite a general slowdown the commercial real estate market as of late, deals do continue to close. In one such transaction, the North Seattle Chrysler Dealership in Seattle traded hands just before the end of January. Public records indicate that an entity affiliated with 13733 Aurora Avenue North Associates LLC sold the dealership for about $10 million. The buyer is an entity is associated with Amy Walen, Andrew Breech and James Walen. The Walens and Breech are affiliated with Ford.
The property is located at 13733 Aurora Ave. N. King County parcel data indicates that the structures on the site were originally built in 1968 and total 21,633 square feet. The property totals just over 3.6 acres.
Aurora Ave. N. is a highly commercial thoroughfare, and the asset itself sits in between the Haller Lake and Evergreen neighborhoods. In the immediate vicinity is a shopping center anchored by Sprouts Farmers Market, Asian Family Market and LA Fitness. Pioneer Builder Supply, Stereo Warehouse and Hyundai of Seattle are located next door.
Throughout the region, car and autobody shops sell either for redevelopment purposes or for expansion. In January of 2019, a Buick GMC auto dealership in Kirkland traded for $10 million. Constructed in 1960, the building totaled 19,447 square feet. The buyer was Alco Investment.
In August of 2020, Vancouver-based Holman Automotive Group purchased a Lynnwood parcel totaling 6.15 acres for $12.8 million. At the time of the transaction, no plans were on file with the City to redevelop the parcel.
