Schnitzer West’s 600,000-square-foot office development in downtown Bellevue hit a milestone earlier this month with the last beam set in place, according to information provided by the firm. The development team celebrated a topping-out ceremony on Feb. 24 to commemorate the achievement.
The project, known as The Artise, is located at 10635 NE 8th St., at the intersection with 106th Ave. It is being developed by Schnitzer West with construction partners Sellen Construction and DCI. Seattle-based architecture firm NBBJ designed the tower. Once finished, the development will be a 25-story Class A office tower designed to meet LEED Gold v4 standards. According to information from Schnitzer West, construction is on track, and the tower is scheduled to open in the first quarter of 2024. The Artise has been pre-leased to Amazon.

Schnitzer West broke ground on The Artise in the summer of 2021. The tower’s amenities include covered and open-air public plazas, 4,783 square feet of ground-level retail, a more than 1,000-stall parking structure and electric vehicle charging stations. The site is also close to public transportation and a “living street” is located along the building’s south side, which is primarily for pedestrians and bicyclists.
Schnitzer West is a real estate investment, development and property management company with main offices in Seattle and Denver. Since the firm’s inception in 1997, the firm has developed and repositioned over 10 million square feet across a variety of property types in the Puget Sound, Portland and Denver markets. In Bellevue specifically, Schnitzer West has developed eight office buildings totaling more than two million square feet.
