Seattle, Wash. (April 25, 2023) – Max Frame of the Simon and Anderson Team, a multifamily investment team at Kidder Mathews, sold the Pioneer Pathway House Apartments for $1,000,000 today. Kidder Mathews represented the seller and were the only brokers involved.
The Pioneer Pathway House Apartments, located at 224 South Howard Street, were designated as a low-income, affordable housing complex. Built in 1908, the property is comprised of 39 residential and two commercial units. The majority of units are SRO (Single Room Occupancy) dorm-style private living spaces with shared bathrooms. The buyer, a Spokane local, plans to continue to operate the building as an affordable housing apartment building.
Following a record-setting 2022 that consisted of 54 closed transactions, with this sale, Max Frame and the Simon and Anderson team record their 12th sale of 2023.
“Max Frame and his team at Kidder Mathews provided the highest level of service in the sale of our Pathways building in Spokane,” said Bob Thompson, Director of Real Estate Planning and Development at Pioneer Human Services. “It was our hope to keep the building in the affordable community and he came through for us in a big way. His timely communication, professionalism and knowledge helped both sides of the deal navigate the transfer process with the Washington State Housing Finance Commission with surprising ease. His work was superlative.”
