Seattle, Washington (March 6, 2018) – PCL Construction Services, Inc. along with the rest of the project team recently celebrated the topping out of the Inspirus Credit Union expansion project.

This three-story office expansion is adding approximately 8,000 square feet of office space and a first floor parking level to the existing Inspirus Credit Union building in Tukwila. The project also includes 4,000 square feet of tenant improvements in the existing building, an elevator modernization, and a new HVAC system. Slated for one year of construction, the project began last August and will be completed this August.

“We’re really pleased to have this opportunity to give this very visible building a facelift,” said Kaz Robertson, manager of special projects for PCL Construction. “Inspirus has a great business model for giving back to the community through contributions to education. It feels good to help them improve their work space so that they can continue to serve their members.”

Surrounded by the existing building on two sides, Southcenter Blvd. and the I-5 off ramp on the adjacent sides of the property, the footprint of the jobsite is limited, and the amount of collaboration required is critical.

“The collaboration that we’ve experienced with the owner and the project team has been exceptional,” continued Robertson. “Our subcontractors have worked every day to communicate, work cohesively, and keep our jobsite safe, clean, and efficient.”

The project team includes: PCL Construction as the general contractor, Jackson Main Architecture, Ascendent Demolition, David Evans and Associates, DCI Engineers, Evergreen Erectors, McCann Trucking and Excavating, Pinchiff Mechanical, S & S Welding, and Sundancer Electric.
