Video renderings reveal an active, walkable, light-rail-adjacent mid-rise office campus and mixed-use neighborhood that will transform the northern suburb
LYNNWOOD, WA – As Lynnwood prepares to welcome mass transit, an older strip mall will transform into a bustling urban gateway called Northline Village. New video renderings released today by developer Merlone Geier Partners (MGP) bring the planned office, retail, and housing development in the Lynnwood City Center to life for the first time.
“We are excited to share this new look at Northline Village in a way that captures the energy and opportunity envisioned by our team and the city of Lynnwood,” said Jamas Gwilliam, MGP’s Vice President for Development.
Over 20 years in the making, Northline Village is a direct reflection of the vision and goals outlined in Lynnwood’s City Center Sub Area Plan and Planned Action Ordinance. The completed development will revitalize the City Center with high quality office space; a mid-rise, urban mixed-use neighborhood; vibrant retail streets; and a network of open spaces and sidewalks.
The City approved a development agreement for Northline Village in December 2019, and MGP is now ready to begin the phased delivery and leasing of over 500,000 square feet of available office space, with retail and housing to follow.
“The first phase of Northline Village will likely open around the same time as the North Link light rail line offering a 28-minute stress-free commute to and from downtown Seattle,” said Gwilliam. “That is a game changer in terms of quality of life for those who will work and live at Northline Village, and a remarkable opportunity for companies to provide a true campus life style with easy, walkable access to retail amenities, residential options, and mass transit.”
Merlone Geier Partners engaged architects CallisonRTKL and landscape architects HEWITT to design the project. CBRE is leading the office leasing, and Merlone Geier the retail leasing.
