MainStreet Property Group Announces PinkaBella CupCakes, First Financial Northwest Bank as Newest Retailers at ‘The Junction’ in Downtown Bothell

Popular Local Bakery and Established Local Bank Meet Growing Demand for Retail Services in Bothell

Bothell, Wash., July 18, 2017 – MainStreet Property Group LLC (www.mspgroupllc.com), a full-service Kirkland-based developer, today announced that two additional retail tenants will open new locations at The Junction (www.liveatthejunction.com) in downtown Bothell. New tenants include award-winning gourmet cupcake retailer PinkaBella Cupcakes (www.pinkabellacupcakes.com) and well-known local bank First Financial Northwest Bank (http://www.ffnwb.com.com).

Located in the heart of downtown Bothell at 18505 Bothell Way NE PinkaBella Cupcakes and First Financial Northwest Bank are slated to open later this fall at The Junction. They join the previously announced restaurants Poquitos Mexican Restaurant and Prime Steakhouse as new commercial tenants in the six-story building, which also features 130 new apartment homes and a total of 30,000 sq. ft. of commercial space.

PinkaBella CupCakes: Award-Winning Gourmet Cupcake Boutique Opens New Bothell Location
As an award-winning, locally-based gourmet cupcake boutique specializing in retail offerings as well as special orders for celebrations, corporate events and weddings, PinkaBella CupCakes offers more than 80 different custom cupcake flavors, themed cupcakes and specialty cakes.

Founded in Redmond, Wash. by lifelong baker Margo Engberg, PinkaBella furthers Engberg’s passion for baking, celebrations and supporting children— the company has donated more than 30,000 free cupcakes to schools and foundations, with sales proceeds donated to many different organizations and events. Additionally, 100 percent of store tips to go help care for abandoned children.

“Give that I was born and raised in Bothell—and now raising our own family here—we’ve long dreamed of being part of downtown Bothell’s downtown revitalization,” said PinkaBella Bothell Franchise Owner Adam Hierlihy. “We’re beyond excited to open a new PinkaBella here—not only because of the area’s revitalization, but also because of the amazing new restaurants and other commercial tenants that will be surrounding us at The Junction.”

With four additional locations in Seattle and the surrounding area—including Alderwood Mall in Lynwood, Bellevue Square, Issaquah Highlands and Redmond Town Center—the newest PinkaBella location in Bothell will include a large private party room available to rent for cupcake and cake decorating parties, baby showers, tea parties, and will also include indoor and outdoor tables, as well as window bar seating .

“Our original attraction to The Junction was its location in the heart of downtown and right next to the McMenamins Anderson School House,” continued Hierlihy. “Upon looking deeper, we were even more impressed by MainStreet’s desire to create customizable locations with emphasis on local businesses and a passion for providing a heightened customer and resident experience.”

First Financial Northwest Bank: Traditional Community Relationships with Technology-Enabling Access
New commercial tenant First Financial Northwest Bank (FFNWB) has provided financial services in Washington since 1923 and will also open its newest branch at The Junction this Fall.

Headquartered in Renton, Wash., FFNWB offers full commercial, business and consumer financial solutions primarily serving Snohomish, King and Pierce Counties.

The Junction: Continuing to Raise the Bar on Bothell Living
The City of Bothell is in the midst of the among the largest downtown revitalizations in Washington State. As part of the vision for its downtown core, the city sold nearly one million sq. ft. of land for redevelopment and has completed public investments totaling more than $150 million. Currently, the City estimates that more than $350 million in private investment has been built, is planned or is under construction within Bothell.

The Junction is located in the heart of this redevelopment effort along Bothell Way and is adjacent to the redeveloped historic McMenamin’s Anderson School, which features restaurants and outdoor dining, a movie theatre, live music, large indoor swimming pool and shopping. The six-story, mixed-use community includes 130 apartment homes and 30,000 sq. ft. of Class A commercial space.
