Another homebuilder has snapped up land in the Puget Sound area. An entity affiliated with Lennar Corporation’s Seattle division recently purchased 45 lots as part of the firm’s Legacy at Canyon Creek residential development in Bothell, according to Snohomish County public records. The lots were sold for $30.5 million by an entity affiliated with AG Essential Housing Multistate 2, LL, in Scottsdale, Ariz.
Located in the city’s northeast corner, off 42nd Ave. SE, the Legacy at Canyon Creek residential development is a collection of new single-family homes, according to Lennar’s website. Homes are currently selling for $1.1 million to $1.3 million, and new homesites are on the way. The development is near Bridgewater Park, North Creek Trail and is in close proximity to both Canyon Park and North Creek.
In operation since 1954, Lennar has built more than one million new homes throughout the United States, according to the company’s website. Lennar is active in 26 states, including Washington, Oregon, California, Idaho and Nevada.
The Puget Sound region has seen a number of recent sales transactions involving homebuilders.
Earlier this year, another deal in Bothell was recorded when an entity affiliated with D.R. Horton, a homebuilder headquartered in Arlington, Texas, purchased at least 13 acres of land for $23.5 million, according to The Registry’s previous reporting. The seller was an entity that shares a mailing address with Arcadia Homes, LLC, in Lake Stevens. The property is located on the northern end of the city, with addresses that include 524, 618 and 704 184th St SW.
More recently, a swath of vacant land in Newcastle traded hands for $30.6 million. The land totals 33 parcels and multiple acres on the city’s west end. The buyer was an entity affiliated with MainVue Homes, a homebuilder with offices throughout Washington, and the seller was an entity affiliated with a Seattle-based builder, SeaLevel Properties.
