Miner expressed excitement about the dynamic new space, which will provide their lawyers, staff, and clients with an excellent environment for work, collaboration, and connection, according to a report in the Portland Business Journal.
The law firm, which currently has 79 attorneys in the metro area, plans to lease slightly over 19,000 square feet of premium offices in the Block 216 skyscraper. This move will entail leaving their current offices at the Wells Fargo Center on 1300 S.W. Fifth Ave, where they have been based since 1990. Miner, reflecting on the decision to move, emphasized the firm’s unwavering commitment to remain in the fantastic city of Portland.
The lease agreement with Davis Wright Tremaine is positive news for Block 216 developer Walter Bowen’s BPM Real Estate Group. In a downtown office market with a high vacancy rate of over 26 percent, securing office leases is a significant achievement. Block 216, set to open on August 15, will feature hotel rooms, offices, residences, and various food and retail establishments. The announcement from Davis Wright Tremaine marks the first substantial news about the building’s office component since the addition of high-performing JLL brokers Jake Lancaster and Annalore Rodman, who were brought on board to secure office leases.
