Ivanhoé Cambridge Appoints Nidae Abbas Vice President, Global Retail, Business Development

London, United Kingdom, August 4, 2016 – Ivanhoé Cambridge announces the appointment of Nidae Abbas to the newly created position of Vice President, Global Retail, Business Development. Ms. Abbas will be based in London.

“Nidae’s main focus will be to grow relationships with European and global retailers with a view to building a pipeline of new and prospective tenants for our retail business in Canada,” said Roman Drohomirecki, Executive Vice President and Chief Operating Officer, Ivanhoé Cambridge Retail. “We believe this will facilitate new connections and promote our highly successful business unit in overseas markets.” He added: “Nidae will act as a catalyst for new initiatives and will facilitate discussions between our Leasing team in Canada and retailers abroad. She has worked on both the landlord and tenant sides and has solid knowledge of the Canadian retail landscape, having worked for global retailers and Canadian real estate companies prior to relocating to the UK.”

Nidae Abbas is a Canadian based in London since 2004 who most recently served as Head of Development Leasing for Hammerson, the UK-based property development and investment REIT. She has more than 20 years of experience in real estate, most of which is in retail leasing and development.

Ms. Abbas has close relationships with UK and European retailers. Prior to joining Hammerson, she was responsible for leasing London Designer Outlet, London’s first outlet development. This experience is seen as a significant asset for Ivanhoe Cambridge, given its investments in Mills and Outlet Collection properties.
