Helly Hansen Signs 274,000 SQFT Lease at Tarragon’s SeaPORT Logistics Center in Kent Valley

Seattle, WA (August 2021) – Tarragon is pleased to announce the signing of a 274,000 SF lease with Helly Hansen at its SeaPORT Logistics Center. Helly Hansen originally came to SeaPORT in 2016, naming SeaPORT Logistic Center as their North American headquarters. They are moving from Building A to Building 4, to better accommodate their growth over the past five years.     

Tarragon has designed Building 4 as one of the most advanced speculative developments in the Kent Valley. Key features include 40’ clear height ceilings, 9” fully reinforced slab, upgraded building lighting, enhanced power, trailer parking, and a lighted four-lane entry road. 170,000 SF is still available to lease at Building 4. 

“It’s always been our objective to develop long-term relationships with our tenants and be able to provide space to accommodate their growing needs. When Helly Hansen moved into our first building at SeaPORT back in 2016, we hoped we would be able to accommodate their future growth, and we’ve done just that with Building 4,” said Dennis Rattie, President at Tarragon. 

The expected completion is Quarter Two of 2022. The brokers involved in this deal were Tony Kusak of Cushman & Wakefield and John Gilliland and John Sullivan of the Seattle office of CBRE. 

SeaPORT Logistics Center has seen continued demand over the past year, with over 770,000 SF leased in the past two months, including Nordstrom’s recent signing of a 500,000 SF lease in Building 3. In total, Tarragon will deliver nearly 950,000 SF of buildings at SeaPORT over the next 9 months. Upon completion, the industrial park will likely consist of eight buildings at full build-out. The project team includes Tarragon, Developer; Sierra Construction, Contractor; Nelson, Architect and AHBL, Civil Engineer.
