MultiCare, a not-for-profit health care organization based in Tacoma, Wash., has sold off two medical clinics Bonney Lake and Puyallup to another, Georgia-based nonprofit. According Pierce County public records filed at the end of June, MultiCare sold its South Hill Clinic in Puyallup for $10 million, and its Bonney Lake Emergency Center for $9 million to CF Puyallup LLC and CF Bonney Lake LLC. The two entities are affiliated with the Guardian Foundation and Ben Mingle of Atlanta, Georgia.

The South Hill clinic in Puyallup is located at 13102 to 13106 Meridian Ave. E. The center provides a range of treatments for both children and adults, including common illnesses, chronic conditions and regular physicals. The second property, in Bonney Lake, is located at 19515 Sr 410 E and 9950 195th Ave. E. An emergency clinic, the site offers services for acute abdominal pain, allergic reactions, and head injuries, as well as diagnostic services such as radiology, x-rays and CT scans.

MultiCare Health System currently has more than 17,000 employees and provides a comprehensive health system across Washington and Northern Idaho. The provider also includes more than 1,400 employed physicians and caregivers through 200 primary care and specialty clinics. As such, it is Washington’s largest urgent care network.

MultiCare Health System isn’t the first provider to sell off assets in recent months. At the beginning of June, The Everett Clinic, another local medical care provider, sold off its Founders Building to Minnesota-based UnitedHealth Care Group for $20.8 million. The sale came after UnitedHealth bought out The Everett Clinic organization in 2017 for $4.9 billion in cash.
