Lisa, Alex, and Jacob will bring their passion for design and service excellence to clients and the professional development of the staff while playing a key role in the continued growth of the firm.
Lisa joined Gensler in 2010, bringing two decades of interior design and architecture project management experience to the team. As Studio Director, Lisa leads a team of over 30 design professionals and is a fierce advocate for her clients. Her particular understanding of diverse project types allows her to lead across multiple practice areas including workplace, hospitality, consumer goods, higher education, strategy and repositioning for industry leaders such as Tableau, Starbucks, ClubCorp, Comcast and Adobe.
With over 10 years of experience in project management, Alex Burkholder brings a rare set of talents to the Gensler Brand Practice Area. He enjoys working with clients such as T-Mobile, LinkedIn, and the team behind Chicago’s iconic Willis Tower to create impactful, brand-elevating campaigns using placemaking, wayfinding, and environmental graphic design. In his role as Studio Director, Alex leads internal teams through a research-based design approach, employing an organizational framework and thoughtful methods to facilitate effective design execution, meeting budgets and milestones throughout.
As the Director of Design Strategy, Jacob provides leadership to a team of researchers, strategists, and designers for clients ranging from technology and innovation leaders, to civic and non-profit organizations, to retailers and healthcare organizations. Jacob’s ability to think systemically has led to key engagement in large, complex campus repositioning and urban development planning efforts. Clients include T-Mobile, Converse, Amazon, Adobe, Google, Lego, the Port of Seattle, Bill and Melinda Gates Foundation, and Microsoft.
