DCI Engineers Raises $54K For Childhaven

SEATTLE, Wash. – September 6, 2017 – Last month, DCI Engineers’ 29th Annual Charity Golf Tournament raised $54K for Childhaven, a local non-profit that provides trauma therapy to more than 300 disadvantaged children between the ages of one month to five years old in King County.

The tournament’s “Around the World” theme celebrated domestic and international travel destinations, such as the tropics, ski resorts, Oktoberfest, Irish culture, and the great outdoors. About 100 DCI employees and four Childhaven representatives volunteered for the day at the Golf Club at Newcastle to host 296 golfers and 32 sponsors from the A/E/C industries and supporting professions.

New staff from DCI’s recently acquired Montana offices also attended the fundraising event. Principals Jami Lorenz (Bozeman, Mont.), Matthew Hubbard (Bozeman, Mont.), Chris Schlegel (Kalispell, Mont.), and Matt Schmidt (Bozeman, Mont.) greeted players while on the greens.

During the tournament auction dinner, Childhaven’s CEO Jon Botten presented DCI’s CoPresident/COO Roger Heeringa with an appreciation plaque for the firm’s yearly dedication and fundraising efforts.
