Brian Collins Named Corporate Real Estate Executive of the Year by CoreNet Global Washington State

Seattle, WA (August 24, 2018) – Brian Collins, Senior Manager, Real Estate & Facilities – Microsoft Corporation, was named the Washington State Corporate Real Estate Executive of the Year 2018 by CoreNet Global Washington State.

Collins was selected for the 2018 award for his contributions toward the success of Microsoft by helping grow the programs from 28 supported employees in 2014, to over 200 in Redmond and ten locations in North America, in Europe and in India. He has contributed to the CRE profession by helping other companies start similar programs and published a toolkit with best practices, advice, and resources and made it publicly available for download.

Collins is an industry-leading professional who is constantly striving to improve his team, his products and himself. Collins approaches his work with authenticity and genuine empathy for employees going through change.

In his current role, Collins is responsible for leading Microsoft’s Workplace Employee Engagement, Supported Employment and Change Management Programs that help staff prepare and adapt to new workspaces at its corporate headquarters. With more than 22 years as a leader at Microsoft, Collins makes significant contributions to the company’s strategic business plans.

Collins is currently the immediate past president and board member of the Washington State Chapter of CoreNet Global; he has served on the board for 3 years.

Collins is now an official nominee for the Global Corporate Real Estate Executive of the Year award that will be announced at the CoreNet Global Summit in Boston this October.

Washington State Corporate Real Estate Executive of the Year award recognizes the corporate real estate (CRE) executive who made outstanding and distinguished contributions to his/her company and to the profession. It acknowledges the achievements of the nominee within the past year. CoreNet Global seeks to recognize:
