Dynamic New Project Located on Vacant City Block Across from Seattle City Hall to Feature 422 Condominium Residences, 15,000 Sq. Ft. of Retail and 25,000 Sq. Ft. Public Plaza Tower Destined to Become New Center Point of Downtown Seattle Excitement and Energy While Providing One of the City’s Best New Residential and Retail Offerings

Seattle, Wash. – Bosa Development a Vancouver, B.C.-based development firm specializing in high-quality commercial and residential projects, today announced that construction will soon start on its long-anticipated new residential tower project in Seattle.

Located at 339 Cherry St across from Seattle City Hall on the now-vacant full city block between 3rd Ave and 4th Ave and James St and Cherry St, the 57-story single tower project is slated to feature 422 condominium residences, 15,000 sq. ft. of ground-level retail and a 25,000 sq. ft. public plaza.

“We’re thrilled to start construction on our new project and bring life to this long-vacant city block,” said Ryan Bosa, President, Bosa Development. “It is destined to become the most transformative new development in downtown Seattle, enriching the urban fabric within the core of the city.”

“We’re seeing a downtown in demand,” said Downtown Seattle Association Vice President of Advocacy & Economic Development, Kylie Rolf. “Residential population is at an all-time high with nearly 100,000 people calling downtown home, continuing the steady rise we’ve seen over the last decade. Beginning construction on the long-awaited project at 339 Cherry St is yet another sign of a strong Seattle recovery.”

“My administration is committed to ensuring downtown is a safe, vibrant, thriving neighborhood for the communities who call it home and for our entire region,” said Mayor of Seattle Bruce Harrell. “Construction on this project is an exciting step forward in our shared efforts to revitalize downtown.”

Residential + Retail: New Center Point of Excitement & Energy in Ideal Downtown Location

Located ideally within close walking distance to light rail transit, iconic Seattle venues like Pike Place Market and the Seattle Art Museum, and the newly revived Seattle Waterfront, Bosa’s new project is poised to provide some of the best new residential and retail offerings available in downtown Seattle.

Offering a rare opportunity for downtown Seattle condominium living, the new project will feature one-, two- and three-bedroom residences, as well as options for two- and three-bedroom residences with dens featuring breathtaking views of Elliott Bay and downtown Seattle.

Designed as an iconic new addition to Seattle’s skyline, the project will also include more than 15,000 square feet of ground-level retail spaces along with numerous amenities such as a rooftop pool on the 57th floor.

“In an area that is ripe for new energy and activity, we are thrilled to be the ones fulfilling the promise to bring this site to its full potential,” continued Bosa.  “We look forward to creating homes and vibrant new retail for residents and businesses to live and grow in downtown Seattle.”

New Public Plaza: Destination for Office Workers, Visitors and Residents Alike

As part of Bosa’s purchase of the property from the City, the team is also committed to creating a large ground-level plaza that will be open to the public and further activate the area.

Designed by James K.M. Cheng Architects and landscape architect PFS Studio, the 25,000 sq. ft. plaza will include a semi-circular upper plaza on Fourth Ave, with a water feature that complements Seattle’s City Hall and cascades down James St. to 3rd Ave.

Designed to interact and intermingle with the building’s retail shops, the plaza will be surrounded by new trees, lush garden terraces and extensive landscaping and will include a glass elevator connecting the lower and upper plaza levels.
