Indian Fusion Café and Boutique Fitness and Wellness Studios Add to the Vibrancy of Seattle’s South Lake Union Neighborhood
SEATTLE, WA (February 25, 2019) – Ascent South Lake Union, Seattle’s premier urban residential building by national multifamily developer Greystar, today unveiled three new retail offerings set to open on the ground floor of the 25-story building located in the dynamic neighborhood of South Lake Union. Premiering for the first-time ever, Lassi + Spice, an Indian fusion café, will open this month alongside MOTION Stretch, a holistic stretching studio for stretching therapy wellness, and Club Pilates, a Reformer style Pilates studio. The retail space at the base of the building will welcome additional retail tenants to the area in the coming months.

Created by coffee connoisseur and former Starbucks executive Susannah Dhamdhere, Lassi + Spice is a first-of-its-kind Indian-inspired coffee shop and café launching its initial location at Ascent in January 2019. Dedicated to celebrating Indian cuisine and culture, Lassi + Spice is poised to be a new coffee mecca for Seattle locals and visitors alike. Featuring high protein, low sugar blended smoothies, Indian coffees and teas, and savory snacks and treats, the menu will offer unique items including exotic Rose Lassi with yogurt, milk rose syrup, rose petals and saffron; Chaat, a delicious medley of crunchy, salty, sweet and spicy flavors; and Masla Chai, created with black tea leaves gently simmered in milk, raw sugar and spices.
Popular boutique stretching studio MOTION Stretch will be launching as the brand’s first Washington location, becoming one of the company’s newest locations outside of Los Angeles and Atlanta. Dedicated to the transformation of whole-body stretching, MOTION Stretch offers equipment and instructors who lead holistic sessions to target the myofascial points of tension in the body.
