Seattle, Washington (May 9, 2018) – PCL Construction Services, Inc., along with the rest of the project team, celebrated the topping out of the Arrivé mixed-use tower on May 4th, 2018. This new 41-story tower features 344 residential units, 142 hotel rooms, a lounge and bar. The property is located at 2116 4th Avenue next to the landmark Cinerama in Belltown.

The 569,000-square-foot tower was designed by architectural firm Weber Thompson and is being built by PCL Construction, the general contractor.

The project, formerly known as Potala Tower, broke ground in 2015 and was halted due to legal issues. In 2016, a new development partnership was formed by The Molasky Group and Binjiang Tower Corp. to restart the project. With some changes to the original plans, PCL resumed construction and has worked with the project partners to deliver the structure on time.

This cast-in-place concrete tower includes seven levels of below-grade parking, six elevators, and multiple levels of amenities that serve either the hotel patrons, building residents, or both. These amenity spaces include a lounge, bar, conference area, gym, yoga studio, dog walking and grooming area, reception area, kitchen, lounge, media room, and outdoor space on the roof top with areas for entertaining and barbeque.

“With 25,500 cubic yards of concrete and over 400,000 worker hours to date, this project has been a priority for PCL and fun to watch being constructed,” said Aaron Wiehe, vice president and district manager of PCL. “We’re really proud to be a part of this project as it brings vitality to the Belltown neighborhood and to the core of Seattle.”

Arrivé is expected to be completed the first quarter of 2019. “The team is clearly passionate about their work on this project,” said Mike Doran, executive in charge of construction and development for The Molasky Group. “PCL and its construction team are hitting all the right cords as we top out and work diligently to bring this project to completion.”

The project team includes: Weber Thompson Architecture, PCL Construction, Cary Kopczynski & Co., The Rushing Co., Holmberg Company, PSF Mechanical, Bergelectric, Mehrer Drywall, and Harris Rebar Seattle and Cadman who were both significant contributors to the topping out of the structure.
