Announcing SMPS Seattle’s March Breakfast | Keeping Pace with Today’s Public Relations Best Practices

Seattle, WA – The Society for Marketing Professional Services (SMPS) Seattle Chapter will be hosting their monthly breakfast from 7:30 – 9:30 AM PST on March 28, 2017 at the Washington Athletic Club.

During the March breakfast, attendees will hear from a 30-year public relations agency veteran, Richard Kendall, about the strategies and techniques that today’s leaders are employing for their clients – both large and small, particularly in the A/E/C space. You’ll explore several best practices that will enhance your ability to plan and execute campaigns for media relations, social media, reputation management, and more.

During this program, you will learn:

  • How the public relations industry has changed in recent years
  • How to cultivate meaningful relationships and communicate with key press
  • What determines a good story
  • How to effectively integrate social media with A/E/C marketing campaigns
  • How to identify what’s different and newsworthy about your company
  • How to find and work with an outside public relations agency
  • How to establish a personal angle for stories about your A/E/C projects.

About the Presenter:

Richard Kendall is general manager of the Pacific Northwest offices of Allison+Partners, a global branding and PR agency that focuses on serving clients in the real estate industry. For the past 20 years, Richard has worked with real estate companies throughout the country on a wide range of campaigns — helping residential developers to brand and position their projects within the community and supporting commercial developers in their entitlement, permitting and leasing phases. Often, this requires identifying and collaborating with neighborhood stakeholders. Richard approaches every project with a strategic, non-prescriptive communications eye, tailoring community and industry outreach based on the business and project needs of the client. He has represented developers, owners, retailers, builders, architects, engineers, and investors on projects along the West Coast and throughout the U.S. Richard’s product expertise ranges from high-rise multi-family buildings and midrise apartment complexes to mixed-use urban villages and master-planned communities.

Tickets for the event are $55.00 ($45.00 earlybird) for SMPS Members, $65.00 (55.00 earlybird) for SMPS Member Firms, and $75.00 ($65.00 earlybird) for Non-Members.
