Absher Announces Fourth President in 78-Year History

COO Jeff Richards to Assume Presidency in January 2019

December 10, 2018 — Absher Construction Company has announced that Chief Operating Officer Jeff Richards will become the fourth president of the 78-year-old firm. Richards will assume the president role in January 2019 from current president and CEO, Dan Absher, who will continue to serve as CEO.

When Richards’ presidency begins in January 2019, it will be the first time in company history that the firm will be led by a non-family member.”We began succession planning many years ago, and Jeff’s experience and leadership across multiple departments and functions made him an outstanding candidate for executive management. Jeff’s promotion to president is the culmination of a long and deliberate transition process to ensure our and our clients’ continued success well into the future,” Dan Absher said. A15-year company employee, Richards has been Chief Operating Officer since 2016.
