801 Restaurant Group Signs On as tenant at Civica Cherry Creek

DENVER — August 3, 2017 — Seattle-based Schnitzer West, one of the West Coast’s fastest-growing real estate investment, development and property management companies, has announced that the 801 Restaurant Group has signed a lease to add an 801 Fish Restaurant to Civica Cherry Creek.

801 Restaurant Group has leased 7,000 square feet in the Civica Cherry Creek building, and expects to open 801 Fish in late spring of 2018. The restaurant will be in the space fronting Fillmore Street. Located in the highly sought-after Cherry Creek neighborhood of Denver, the planned seven-story building features 112,000 square feet of office space, 12,000 square feet of retail stores and a four-story underground parking garage, creating a new level of functionality and service for the Denver marketplace.

The 801 Restaurant Group, family owned and based in Denver, is comprised of two high-end restaurant concepts – 801 Chophouse and 801 Fish. Its first restaurant was launched 25 years ago by James Lynch, executive managing member, in Des Moines, Iowa at 801 Grand Avenue, which was the basis for the company name. With the addition of 801 Fish at Civica, the 801 Restaurant Group is reinforcing its commitment to Cherry Creek, where its steakhouse, 801 Chophouse, is located at the valet entrance of Cherry Creek Mall.

“It is a first-class building,” said James Lynch’s son and co-owner of the 801 Restaurant Group, Jamie Lynch. “We are very excited about the Cherry Creek location. 801 Fish will present an elegant, energetic, fun and delicious experience for our customers. The restaurant will offer Cherry Creek’s largest outdoor dining patio along with convenient, complimentary valet parking. We believe 801 Fish will be a great complement to 801 Chophouse, providing Cherry Creek with superb dining options in the area.”

“801 Restaurant Group is well known for its culinary expertise and overall dining experience,” said Doug Zabel, managing partner at Schnitzer West. “801 Fish will fill a market segment that is currently underserved in Cherry Creek North, with few restaurants focusing on ocean fare cuisine, and is sure to become a neighborhood destination. 801 Fish will be a great addition to Civica Cherry Creek and help to create a vibrant environment for its tenants.”

The structural steel of Civica Cherry Creek was topped off on July 21 and the building is on schedule to open in Q1 2018.
