SEATTLE, WA – Jackson | Main Architecture is pleased to announce that the renovation and expansion of the new Inspirus Credit Union headquarters is complete. Located in Tukwila WA, the existing corporate headquarters was expanded when Inspirus acquired a neighboring property and sought to add on to their existing 33,000 SF facility. The expanded building now totals 50,000 SF and houses approximately 100 Inspirus employees. In addition to the added office, administrative and parking garage space, the facility also includes interior spaces for branch banking, conferencing, training, a gym, a lunchroom for employees and an executive suite.
The design team, led by Jackson | Main Architecture, decided to incorporate elements of the existing building with the window patterning and façade treatments while upgrading the finishes. The roof over the addition is clad in metal panel and is “vee” in shape, opening the edges with simulated wood soffits. The improvements included buffer restoration for the Gilman Stream, creating a stream-side overlook and seating area amenity for Inspirus employees and visitors.
The project team also includes PCL (general contractor), DCI (structural engineering), Navix (civil engineering), Metrix (Mechanical), Case (Electrical) and The Watershed Company (landscape/sensitive areas design).
