PCL Construction Completes Concrete and Steel on the Senior Living Community in First Hill

SEATTLE, Washington (February 22, 2021) – PCL Construction has recently completed the concrete structure and rooftop steel on the Olympic Tower at Skyline – topping out the 21-story apartment tower specifically designed for active seniors in the First Hill neighborhood. The project is owned by Transforming Age, a nonprofit senior living organization.

The tower, designed by Ankrom Moisan Architects, will offer 76 one-, two- and three- bedroom homes and penthouse apartments with parking in a community designed and created for independent, older adults. Transforming Age already owns and operates Skyline, a senior living tower directly across the street. The new Olympic Tower and the existing Skyline Tower will share newly constructed amenities that include a 240-seat performing arts center, a full-service spa, a bar and café, outdoor terraces, a below-grade automated parking system, and the Skylounge club room which features panoramic views of Puget Sound and the Olympic Mountains.

While existing Skyline tower residents anxiously await these additional amenities, future Olympic Tower residents have been signing up. Although the building won’t be complete until this Fall, most of the units have already presold proving the strong desire for community-focused living for seniors in the region.

“I’m extremely proud of this team, who have persevered in topping out the structure, despite the challenges we’ve all witnessed this past year,” said Aaron Wiehe, vice president and district manager of PCL. “We remain vigilant and focused on keeping each other safe, through the completion of this beautiful senior living community.”
