Toll Brothers develops communities in Happy Valley, Bethany in first Oregon foray
PORTLAND, Ore. (February 07, 2019 ) – Toll Brothers, America’s Luxury Home Builder®, is bringing its sophisticated and stylish homes to the Portland metro area in spring 2019. With expertise in combining superior architecture and personalized design with high-quality construction and desirable locations, Toll Brothers has broken ground on communities in Happy Valley, on Portland’s east side, and in Bethany, to the northwest of the city. The first model homes at both communities are anticipated to open in spring 2019.
“We are proud to enter the Portland area which adds another major market to the West Coast footprint for Toll Brothers,” said Kevin Duermit, Toll Brothers Regional President. “The Portland metropolitan area is home to so many wonderful, family-friendly communities, and we look forward to bringing our signature luxury approach to an already highly desirable place to live. We believe that with its enviable quality of life and major employers like Nike and Intel, Portland will continue to be an exciting and growing market.”
The strong housing demand in Portland has made the region an attractive new market for Toll Brothers, and the level of personalization that the builder offers is expected to resonate with homebuyers. “The architecture of the Portland-area communities will feature Northwest contemporary and craftsman styles, and our Design Studio is ready to assist each buyer in customizing their homes to reflect their personal style and preferences,” said JJ Portlock, Division Vice President in Portland for Toll Brothers. “It is our collaborative design process that makes each house a home and ensures unique character throughout.”
On the east side, Toll Brothers is building Scouters Mountain, a 58-home community in Happy Valley. Nestled in the foothills of Scouters Mountain, the two- or three-story homes will range from 2,900 to 3,800 square feet and feature three to six bedrooms. The community will be served by the North Clackamas School District.
On the west side, an 81-home community of Thompson Woods will likewise feature two- and three-story homes, and sizes will range from 2,600 to 4,200 square feet. Located in the Bonny Slope area of Bethany, the community will be served by the Beaverton School District.
In both communities, homes will be priced from the upper $600,000s, with final sales prices determined by the finishes and features selected throughout the design process. Luxury homes will be available for presale, and Toll Brothers will also offer quick delivery options as well as financing through its subsidiary, TBI Mortgage Company.
