Portland, Ore. (December 11, 2018) – Portland-based property management firm Templeton Property Management (www.templetonmanagement.com) (Templeton) today announced that veteran real estate industry executive Christopher Koegel has been named President of Property Management. Templeton is the property management arm of NBP Capital, a privately-held commercial real estate fund with a focus on value-add, opportunistic investing primarily on the West Coast. The fund has $1 billion in assets under management and is invested across all sectors, including multifamily, office, hospitality, industrial and self-storage.

In this newly-created role, Koegel will be responsible for leading the execution and strategy related to all property and commercial management for Templeton’s entire four million sq. ft. portfolio as the growing firm prepares to expand deeper into the Pacific Northwest and Southern California.

“As NBP Capital and Templeton look toward the future, we felt the time was right to bring on a skilled property management leader like Chris to position us for continued expansion, growth and broader scale on the West Coast,” said Lauren Noecker Robert, Managing Member and Co-Founder of NBP Capital.

As a full-service property management firm specializing in multifamily property management, Templeton was founded by NBP Capital in 2016. NBP Capital currently has approximately one million sq. ft. of new construction in progress, 60 properties owned or managed and 110,000 sq. ft. under renovation.

As President of Property Management at Templeton, Koegel will work alongside the firms’ senior and executive management leaders to direct property, commercial, accounting, capital, maintenance and ancillary services teams. He will also be responsible for implementing policies, programs and initiatives that promote exceptional customer satisfaction, operational excellence and strong financial results.

“As a thriving property management company with a strong emphasis on quality and efficiency—as well as an experienced, hands-on professional management team—I’m thrilled to join Templeton,” said Koegel. “I look forward to working together with this group of talented and successful professionals to further the company’s growth.”

As a 23-year industry veteran, Koegel has a deep history creating value for owners and enhancing teams. Koegel worked in senior level and executive leadership roles for more than two decades at companies such as Trammell Crow, Riverstone Residential Group, BRE Properties, Madrona Ridge Residential and HNN Associates.

With deep expertise in property management training, real estate finance/budgeting, underwriting, acquisitions and asset management, he also built two management companies from the ground-up, and has extensive finance and training backgroundworking on all asset class types of residential properties across the United States.

As a University of Washington graduate, Koegel received his Bachelor’s degree in Business and Organizational Studies with a focus on Leadership Development. Koegel also regularly teaches national-level classes for the NAA, including the Certified Apartment Manager (CAM) and Certified Apartment Portfolio Specialist (CAPS) designations. He is the recipient of numerous awards for successful past projects and was named Oregon Portfolio Manager of the Year by the local Oregon affiliate of the NAA.
