Seattle, WA (October 1, 2019) – Tarragon, a Seattle-based real estate development company, announced today the grand opening of Phases II and III of Sawyer Trail Apartments & Townhomes, a residential community located at 17412 44th Avenue East along 176th Street East near State Route 7 in the Frederickson Area of Tacoma.
Situated on 50 acres, Sawyer Trail’s contemporary design is inspired by a sense of place, community, and adventure. The project features an integrated network of pedestrian walkways that thoughtfully connect Sawyer Trail residences with wilderness trails, green spaces, protected play areas, and picnic shelters, as well as a host of onsite amenities including a community clubhouse with a fitness center and resort-style pool.

Completed in Q1 2018, Sawyer Trail Apartments Phase I comprises 234 apartment homes. A natural extension of Phase I, Sawyer Trail Apartments Phase II and Sawyer Trail Townhomes Phase III grow the project by 162 apartments and 90 townhomes, respectively, for a total of 486 units. Sawyer Trail Townhomes Phase III is Tarragon’s pursuit to provide the Sawyer Trail community with different housing options and even more indoor-outdoor amenity spaces. Tarragon delivered Sawyer Trail residents a luxury amenity building with a caterer’s kitchen, outdoor spa, lounge seating, and fire tables in mid- 2019. Tarragon has plans to construct an additional 70 townhome-style duplexes at Sawyer Trail in 2020. All three phases of the project have move-in ready units available for lease.
