The Downtown Seattle Association's new employment report finds that Seattle shed 18,605 jobs between 2024 and 2025, with downtown absorbing roughly 13,000 of those losses, while Bellevue, Tacoma and Everett added workers and the Puget Sound region slipped to 20th among the nation's 30 largest metros for job growth since 2019.
