On Thursday, August 30th, five parcels in Puyallup that include a retail center and some vacant land sold for $11.4 million, according to public documents filed with Pierce County. The buyer, 11307 Canyon Road LLC, is affiliated with Mid-West Group of Companies, a residential and commercial developer based in Saskatoon, Canada, that operates across Western Canada, according to public documents. The seller was CNR Puyalllup WA Landlord LLC, an entity affiliated with SunTrust Robinson Humphrey, an investment firm based in Atlanta, Georgia. The transaction was recorded on September 6th.
A Mid-West Group representative did not provide any specific information about the sale of the property, only to reiterate that the buyer is the listed LLC.
The sale included five parcels, according to Pierce County records, which are located at 5422, 5524 and 5420 112th St. E and 112911 Canyon Road E in Puyallup. The parcels include a shopping center, adjancent parking lots and two lots of vacant land on 112th St. E.
The five parcels are approximately five miles south of downtown Puyallup and and twelve miles southeast of downtown Tacoma. The five parcels are across Canyon Road from the Summit Country Center shopping Mall and less than half a mile from access to Washington State Route 512.
The Mid-West Group of Companies is a conglomerate with divisions in North American commercial and residential real estate development, commercial and residential property leasing, property management, sale of quality pre-owned vehicles, wholesale automotive paint supply, automotive repair stores, business financing and other more diverse businesses, according to the company’s web site.
In the Puget Sound region, the company lists three properties in its current ownership. It owns the Newberry Square Professional Center at 16006 Ash Way in Lynnwood and the Northpointe Retail Center located at 2902 164th St. SW also in Lynnwood. The group also owns Motif Apartments, the 46-unit apartment community in Lynnwood.
