NBS Real Estate Consulting’s Presence Expands to Seattle, San Antonio and San Francisco

Portland, Oregon (April 14, 2020) – Norris, Beggs & Simpson Companies announces the expansion of its NBS Real Estate Consulting division with the addition of three key professionals in Seattle, WA, San Antonio, TX and San Francisco, CA. As part of the company’s growth strategy, market leaders Jeffrey L. Needs, Todd A. Olson and David F. Tye are joining the company as Senior Vice Presidents. NBS Real Estate Consulting provides services including (among others): planning, entitlement, development, project oversight, market research, financial analyses, expert testimony, and receivership assignments. NBS works directly with real estate owners and with their advisors to provide guidance and assistance ranging from high level strategic counsel to hands-on project management.

David F. Tye, based in Seattle, WA, has been working in commercial real estate across the Western United States for over 30 years. David has experience on the transactional side of the business with sales and leasing experience in the industrial property class as well as roles with developers and owners of large office portfolios — both privately held and publicly traded. David’s experience also includes oversight of entitlements, design, development and construction of ground up projects including suburban and urban office developments. His prior jobs have included Vice President and Senior Vice President roles at Equity Office Properties (REIT), General Electric Real Estate/ Arden Realty and Hudson Pacific Properties (REIT). At Equity Office Properties David oversaw operations of an 18 million sf portfolio of best in market office properties across four major western markets – Seattle, Bellevue, Portland and Denver – with a value of over $5 Billion. 

Jeffrey L. Needs, based in San Francisco, CA, is an experienced real estate veteran with proven leadership in developing and implementing solutions for complex real estate projects. For more than 30 years, Jeff has provided real estate solutions to large institutional owners as well as creating opportunities for small business expansion. With his extensive experience in asset management, construction management, entitlement and lease negotiation, Jeff has a proven track record of providing holistic, creative solutions to individual assets as well as multi-property portfolios. His prior work experience includes his position as Vice President of Operations for Hudson Pacific Properties overseeing a portfolio of office/retail assets generating $170 million in net annual income. Jeff has also worked for Winthrop Management as a regional Vice President, President of Needs Real Estate Services and a Senior Manager for Hines.

Todd A. Olson, based in San Antonio, TX, has a broad and diverse background with over 30 years working in the commercial real estate industry managing multiple product types in major markets throughout the United States. He has a history of successes by focusing on thorough analysis, market data, creative solutions and developing meaningful relationships. Prior to joining the company, Todd spent his career working for both the public and the private sector. For the public, he managed City of San Antonio assets with an emphasis on historic structures and at VIA Metropolitan Transit, he led transit-oriented developments for the agency. In the private sector, he managed institutional class assets for Hines and USAA Real Estate Company.
