NEW YORK–Hightower, the leading leasing management platform for the commercial real estate industry, today announced that Guy Jaquier, former CEO of Prologis Private Capital, has joined the Hightower Board of Directors.
“I’ve had a long interest in how technology is going to shape the commercial real estate industry,” said Jaquier. “After surveying the market, it became clear that Hightower was not only a leader in the CRE tech revolution, but also doing an exceptional job at over-delivering on the product promised. The opportunity to share my experiences and help guide this rapidly growing company was too exciting to overlook.”
Prior to joining the Hightower Board of Directors in 2016, Jaquier served as the Chief Executive Officer of Prologis Private Capital at Prologis, Inc. He has also served as the President of Europe and Asia at AMB Property Corp., Senior Investor Officer of real estate at the California Public Employees’ Retirement System, and Executive Vice President, West Coast Region at Lend Lease Real Estate Investments.
Guy Jaquier also serves on the boards of or is an advisor at Prologis, Swig Company, Equilibrium Capital, Juniper Square, and University of Washington Runstad Center for Real Estate Studies. He holds an M.B.A. from the Harvard Graduate School of Business Administration and a B.S. in Building Construction Management from the University of Washington.
“Guy has been a leading figure in CRE for over 30 years,” said Brandon Weber, CEO of Hightower. “During that time, he has developed one of the most diverse and unique resumes in the industry. His experience aligns exactly with our roadmap, and I am confident that his perspective will help us build the best leasing management platform out there.”
Hightower plans to leverage Jaquier’s experience in three key areas: international expansion, the development of its new industrial-specific product, and further adoption by the capital partner community. “Guy sits at the intersection of all of these areas, and will provide immense insight and knowledge,” said Weber.
“Guy’s insight and experience in the industry will be a significant value-add for Hightower,” said Ethan Kurzweil, a partner at Bessemer Venture Partners and another member of the Hightower Board of Directors. “I look forward to working with him and having his perspective on the board.”
