NAIOP WA: Unpacking Biases: 2020 Diversity & Inclusion Roundtable

Learn about unconscious bias, the many ways bias comes up in our everyday lives, and how we can not only begin to de-bias ourselves but also positively impact the people around us. This workshop is focused on discussing the common language around Diversity, Equity, and Inclusion with all attendees empowered with the tools to have a positive discussion around these topics.
Participants will have the opportunity to work in breakout groups to address the issues with support from our speaker and the D&I Committee.
Makeda Hope-Crichlow, MPA. Makeda is a first generation immigrant, and first generation college graduate. She obtained her Masters in Public Administration from the Evans School of Public Policy and Governance at the University of Washington. Throughout her professional life, she has focused on diversity and inclusion work, both in the public and private sector. Makeda has over 200 hours in experience facilitating DEI workshops.
