ELEVATE Seattle: Industry Celebrates Diversity & Women’s Leadership in Commercial Real Estate

The inaugural event gathered over 450 attendees from every part of the Puget Sound real estate industry

SEATTLE, WA (December 6, 2018) – With a goal of celebrating the diversity and leadership of women in the commercial real estate industry across the Puget Sound region, CREW Seattle and The Registry partnered to launch ELEVATE, the inaugural awards gala event held on November 29, 2018 attended by over 450 real estate professionals.

The event, presented by Gold Sponsor Kennedy Wilson, was a celebration of women in the commercial real estate industry. It honored employers and associations that have implemented programs promoting greater diversity in the workplace, and it celebrated exemplary women who are making a positive impact in today’s industry. The honorees came from 165 nominations, and they were awarded the top recognition in five categories: Break the Ceiling: Corporate Leadership Award; Association Ally Award; Inspirator Award; Rising Rock Star Award; and Industry Impact Award.

“While attending a similar event organized by The Registry in San Francisco last spring, I was blown away by the incredible individuals, women and men, that were recognized at the event,” said Mollie Fadule, current CREW President and Partner of Cephas Partners. “I knew Seattle had equally if not more impressive individuals, companies and associations in our market. Recognizing those impacting our industry by promoting diversity and inclusion, equality, mentorship and women’s leadership is vital to CREW’s mission. For that reason, we have partnered with The Registry to bring ELEVATE to Seattle.”

“Forming a partnership with CREW Seattle to produce ELEVATE — a first of its kind event in the region — was the epitome of what a joint partnership should be,” said Heather Bosanac, president and co-founder of The Registry. “Together, we saw a clear vision for a fresh event that the industry would be excited to get behind. As a female business owner in this industry, I too have been inspired by other female leaders and mentors who have guided me through my professional growth, and the production of ELEVATE is a way to pay it forward.

The program started out with a keynote delivered by Sara Harvey Yao, a Seattle-based leadership consultant, author and speaker who specializes in helping leaders strengthen their presence and improve their impact. She is the founder of Yao Consulting Group and has developed and trained more than 4,000 leaders around the globe. Sara is the author of the books, “Drop In: Lead with Deeper Presence and Courage” and “Get Present: Simple Strategies to Get Out of Your Head and Lead More Powerfully.”
