Real estate professional will help expand national logistics real estate company’s portfolio in northwestern U.S. markets.
Indianapolis, IN (Oct. 23, 2018) – Duke Realty Corporation (NYSE: DRE), the leading domestic-only, industrial-focused REIT (Real Estate Investment Trust) in the country, has hired Drew Hess as Senior Vice President of its Northern California and Seattle Region. Hess, a 20-year commercial real estate veteran, will oversee the company’s existing 3.0 million-square-foot logistics portfolio in these markets, with a goal of growing its assets through new development and investment opportunities.

He will be a real asset to our operations.”
Hess comes to Duke Realty after a career focused on commercial real estate investments in western U.S. markets. Most recently he was Regional Director and Market Leader for First Industrial Realty Trust, responsible for expanding that REIT’s portfolio in the Bay Area, Central Valley and Seattle. His experience also includes positions with American Realty Advisors, Prudential Real Estate Investors and AMB Property Corporation. During his tenure with these companies, he led more than $3.6 billion in transactions.
Hess is a native of California and has lived in San Francisco since starting off his career with Arthur Anderson LLP. He graduated from the University of Colorado at Boulder with a Bachelor of Science in Business Administration and is a CPA in California. Hess is a LEED® Accredited Professional and on the Board of Directors of NAIOP’s San Francisco Bay Area chapter, serving as its president in 2017.
