SAN FRANCISCO, Calif. – September 28, 2017 – DCI Engineers, a civil and structural consulting engineering firm, is pleased to announce new staff members in our San Francisco office.
Taylor Bontz, EIT, joined the firm as a Project Engineer. She designs various building systems including gravity, lateral, and stud plans for wood, concrete, cold-form steel, and post-tensioned concrete structures. Taylor is currently assigned to the 3701 Noriega Street mixed-use project in San Francisco and the 888 Devon residential project in Los Angeles. While in school, she contributed analysis and design for a culvert and bridge for a watershed in San Luis Obispo, California. Taylor acquired her Bachelor of Science in Civil Engineering at California Polytechnic State University San Luis Obispo. She is a member of the American Society of Civil Engineers (ASCE) and Society of Women Engineers (SWE).
Shari Jutkowitz joined the firm as an Engineering Administrator. She comes with 12 years of administration and marketing experience in the architecture, engineering, and interior design industries. At DCI, Shari packages team drawings and calculations for client submittals, such as the Hunters Point Shipyard Block 48, plus various residential and mixed-use projects in San Francisco. She enters project information for the internal database system and compiles project quality control reports for the principal engineers. Shari is a volunteer at the San Francisco Food Bank. She also devotes time for photography, glassblowing, the arts, and the “Bay to Breakers” annual footrace.
