Cushman & Wakefield’s Global Occupier Services Business Hires Industry Expert To Lead Technical Solutions Practice

NEW YORK, August 9, 2017 – Commercial real estate services firm Cushman & Wakefield’s Global Occupier Services (GOS) business has hired industry expert Greg Swanberg to lead the Technical Solutions practice, the company announced today. The move builds on the momentum of recent partnerships and acquisitions by the firm, an industry-leading provider of comprehensive real estate services to clients worldwide.

The firm has partnered with Lucid’s industry leading BuildingOS building intelligence software to further enhance Cushman & Wakefield’s platform for delivering the next generation of energy intelligence. The Mobile Engineering & Maintenance Services practice efficiently provides strategic facilities management engineering solutions to select clients throughout the United States, providing flexible and scalable value-added services to clients (including general repairs and HVAC, electrical, plumbing, lighting, and energy support). The firm’s Mobile Engineering & Maintenance Services, Energy Management, and Critical Solutions platforms have been bundled into a single organization.

The firm’s acquisition of EnSite Solutions in late 2016 is a key foundation of its Critical Solutions group, combining comprehensive technologies and established partnerships with best-in-class, mission-critical specialists focused on the datacenter, telecommunications and broadband, and healthcare industries.

“This multidisciplinary platform allows us to deliver the cutting-edge, innovative services to keep our clients’ facilities running at peak performance,” said Steven Quick, Chief Executive of Global Occupier Services at Cushman & Wakefield.

Additionally, last week, Cushman & Wakefield announced an exclusive global partnership with MetaProp NYC, the world’s premier real estate technology hub, which is in alignment with the firm’s innovation and technology strategy.

“Through our technology strategy, we are committed to creating partnerships with the best and brightest with an eye toward gaining access to new platforms and client solutions. We aim to be at the forefront of the latest, most exclusive, and forward-thinking real estate technologies,” said Adam Stanley, Global CIO and Chief Digital Officer at Cushman & Wakefield.

Mr. Swanberg joins Cushman & Wakefield as the new Senior Managing Director – Technical Solutions with more than 30 years of senior management and executive experience having managed all aspects of designing, operating, and maintenance of highly regulated critical environments. “Greg’s extensive global management experience which, included directly overseeing the technical delivery of outsourced services for critical functions in data centers, nuclear energy facilities, pharmaceutical and manufacturing facilities, public and private research centers, hospitals and clinics will help provide industry leading solutions to our clients for their most critical physical infrastructure,” said Colette Temmink, Executive Managing Director of Integrated Facilities Management and Project & Development Services Platforms for Global Occupier Services at Cushman & Wakefield.

Mr. Swanberg most recently served as the Chief Executive Officer for BioStorage Technologies, the world’s leader in critical biological storage environments serving 19 of the top 20 bio/pharma companies as well as top government and academic research institutions around the globe. He has served on a host of boards and advisory panels for non-profits and university-based incubator programs including at the University of Virginia, the Indiana University Kelley School of Business and the University of Kentucky.
