Cushman & Wakefield Commerce Welcomes Commercial Real Estate Office and Investment Pro, Hughes McLaughlin

SEATTLE – Dec. 19, 2016 – The Seattle office of Cushman & Wakefield Commerce is pleased to announce the addition of Hughes McLaughlin as Senior Director to the team. He will focus his brokerage expertise on the office and investment markets.

“Hughes has tremendous experience in managing portfolios of real estate on an international scale while focusing his practice in negotiating complex transactions throughout the Puget Sound,” said Dave Magee, Market Leader, Washington region for Cushman & Wakefield Commerce. “His extensive track record and leadership qualities will be very valuable to the continued expansion of the Cushman & Wakefield Commerce leadership in the market.”

Hughes comes to Cushman & Wakefield Commerce after 12 years at JLL where he first started as an Analyst in 2004. He was promoted to Senior Analyst in 2005, Associate in 2006, Senior Associate in 2008, Vice President in 2010, Senior Vice President in 2011, and then to Managing Director in 2013. During his tenure with JLL, Hughes participated in transactions totaling more than 10 million square feet.

Prior to joining JLL, Hughes worked in commercial finance for GE Capital where he underwrote commercial transactions, specializing in commercial real estate and cash flow based lending. Prior to that, he was with Bank of America in the Commercial Lending Department as a Loan Monitoring Analyst.

Hughes is an alumnus of Seattle University where he graduated with a Bachelor of Arts in Finance. He currently resides in West Seattle with his wife and three children and is an active member of several charitable associations in the Seattle area, and is an active member of the visioning committee for Arts Corps.
