Seattle, Washington – Cairncross & Hempelmann is pleased to announce Thomas P. Francis has joined the Corporate Finance & Business Transactions group.
Tom’s practice focuses on representing private companies and investors on complex business transactions, mergers & acquisitions, business/corporate formation and ongoing governance, and on the negotiation and preparation of a host of agreements that include limited liability company operating agreements, employment agreements, and all ancillary documents associated with the closing of M&A transactions. Tom also has broad experience with the purchase, sale and regulatory compliance of yachts.
Prior to law school, Tom worked at the Pasadena Police Department (California) as a police officer and as a member of a nationally recognized mental health and homeless outreach team. He still utilizes his fluency in both spoken and written Spanish by working with organizations like Kids in Need of Defense (KIND) that assist abused and/or unaccompanied immigrant minors. Before joining CH&, Tom was a transactional attorney at Foster Pepper, PLLC, and brings with him substantial knowledge of the Seattle business community.
Tom’s specialized skill in high stakes negotiations is essential in an area of law that requires precision and time-sensitivity.
