Berger Partnership, a Landscape Architecture and Urban Design Firm, is Thrilled To Announce Three New Hires

We welcome three new hires, Byron George, Jiaxi Guo, and Julie Matthews.

New Hires:

Byron George, Landscape Designer
Byron joined the firm in May 2018 with three years of professional and volunteer experience. He earned his Master of Landscape Architecture from the University of Georgia and holds a Bachelor of Arts from Seattle University. An avid designer, he was a finalist with honorable mention for the Unbuild the Wall Design Competition in Nogales, AZ & Nogales, MX, and his team won first place in the Off The Rails Design Competition in Fort Collins, CO. He is currently working on the MS Refresh project.

Jiaxi Guo, Landscape Designer
Jiaxi comes to us with a landscape background from both China and the US. She holds a Master of Landscape Architecture from the University of Washington and Tonji University in China. She earned her Bachelor of Landscape Architecture at Beijing Forestry University in China. She is also a LEED Green Associate and received three student awards from the Washington Chapter of ASLA while at the UW. Her current workload includes the MS Refresh project and the Swedish Cherry Hill Medical Office Building.

Julie Matthews, Project Manager
Julie joined the firm as a project manager and brings strong graphic and computer rendering skills. She has experience working on a variety of projects, including the adaptive reuse of historic sites and large-scale campus design. Julie is a licensed landscape architect and holds a certification in Social Economic and Environmental Design (SEED). She attended Pennsylvania State University, where she received a Bachelor of Landscape Architecture. Her current workload includes the MS Refresh project and the Downtown Redmond Link Extension.
