Avid Townhomes in Bellevue Near Completion

BELLEVUE, Wash., December. 19, 2018 — Avid Townhomes, a 49-unit housing development located in the Highlands neighborhood of East Bellevue is set to complete construction in February of 2019. The development is part of Bellevue’s transformation from low-density suburban neighborhoods to denser, urbanized living and working environments. The townhomes range from 1,500 to 2,050 square feet, with up to five bedrooms and two-car garages.

FREIHEIT Architecture designed the townhome community to maximize the development density while remaining sensitive to the project’s location adjacent to Kelsey Creek. FREIHEIT turned an underground detention vault into a landscaped park lid creating a community asset. Entries and stoops face toward the park, and perimeter drives are carefully designed to promote pedestrian flow through the interior facing property. Contemporary facades and interiors appeal to the discriminating home buyer desiring a close-in location.

FREIHEIT Architecture is the architect for the project, represented by Senior Project Architect, Chris Amonson. Yu & Trochalakis PLLC, structural engineer; Core Design, Inc. civil engineer and landscape architect, Altman Oliver Associates critical area mitigation, Transportation Engineering Northwest, traffic engineer, and acoustical engineer BRC Acoustics & Audiovisual Design, .
