Seattle, WA – The Society for Marketing Professional Services (SMPS) Seattle Chapter will be hosting their monthly Seattle Education Breakfast at the Washington Athletic Club on January 24, 2017 from 7:30 – 9:30 AM PST.
Join us to hear from experts in the field of virtual reality (VR) and augmented reality (AR) as they relate to our industry. Our guest speakers will present on how they are using VR, its value in our industry, and what the VR future holds.
- Boaz Ashkenazy, Founding Partner, Studio 216 lead the development team that launched one of the first virtual reality residential sales centers in the United States. Studio 216, in partnership with Skanska USA, also developed the world’s first holographic leasing center using Microsoft HoloLens, which recently opened in downtown Seattle. Studio 216 was one of eight agencies selected to participate in the Microsoft HoloLens Agency Readiness program which provided participants early access to HoloLens technology.
- Heather Skeehan, Design Manager at GLY leverages technology as an interactive platform to validate examinations, reflect decisions made by the design team, advocate more effective ways to execute building in the field, minimize waste, and efficiently schedule and communicate project development. Heather is a strong proponent of fundamental project values and design identity, and brings a fresh perspective to the way GLY supports delivery of the design intent.
- Cody Lodi, LEED AP, Architect, Design Leader and Project Manager, VR, Weber Thompson is fervent about exploring innovative and evolving VR and AR technologies which could fundamentally alter and progress the way architects communicate spatial experience, and lead to happier clients and a higher quality built environment. In 2016, Cody led a team of Weber Thompson colleagues to design a virtual reality experience for the Seattle Design Festival Block Party. The project detailed how climate change, population density and economic forces might play out in our city over the coming years. Cody leads the effort to adopt and implement new tools and cutting-edge technology within Weber Thompson.
