The America’s Best Value Inn & Suites in Tukwila sold to Sunrise Garden Inn LLC for $8,241,200 in a deal that closed May 25th. The seller was Ark Towne and Country Suites LLC, associated with Arlene and Robert Krussel.
Arlene and Robert Krussel have owned the property since August of 1998 when the two paid $2,855,000 for the site.
Built in 1967, the America’s Best Value Inn & Suites is a two-story, 11-building hotel located at 14800 Interurban Ave. S. The hotel, which sits on a 145,490 square foot lot, features 88 fully furnished studios and one and two-bedroom rooms with kitchens for short term or long term rentals. There are 73 one-bedrooms, seven two-bedrooms and eight studios. The hotel also has a pool and sauna with a recreation building.
The America’s Best Value Inn & Suites is part of the Red Lion Hotels Corporation. Red Lion Hotels Corporation has been opening and signing franchise license agreements including a number of Americas Best Value Inn and Hotel RLs over the last year. According to a press release, “Red Lion Hotel Corporation brands opened in 13 states, including two Hotel RLs, four Red Lion Inn & Suites, 11 America’s Best Value Inns and one Country Hearth Inn. Notable property openings were Hotel RLs in Omaha, Nebraska and Brooklyn, New York; Red Lion Inns & Suites in Fayetteville, North Carolina and Everett, Washington; and America’s Best Value Inns in Fort Worth, Texas; Houston, Texas and Baton Rouge, Louisiana.”
