Longtime Northwest Real Estate Fund Manager Launches New Firm in Bellevue

BELLEVUE, Wash., Feb. 6, 2017 — Seattle area hedge fund manager Blake Robbins, formerly of Overlake Capital, has launched a new firm. Robbins’s investment firm, Hillstone Capital, will have a primary focus on real estate and private equity.

Besides his years dedicated to investor relations, Robbins brings over a decade of award-winning (2014 “Most Valuable Company” at Keiretsu Angel Expo) experience working and owning companies in financial services, mortgage banking, and real estate brokerages. While he says that leaving the company he co-founded was “one of the most difficult decisions” he’s ever had to make, Robbins is also looking forward to pursuing his new venture with a “renewed vision and no limits.” He commented, “Hillstone is guided by common sense, discipline, and the insight that our success is driven by our culture and our partnerships.”

One of those primary partnerships is with Creative Director Christina Dunken. With a passion for real estate and design, Dunken brings an innovative sense of style to Hillstone. Her experience in operations and brand management are sure to complement Robbins’s extensive experience. Dunken says, “Details matter. When a project comes together I truly enjoy the feeling that we have created something amazing from nothing.”

Hillstone Capital has projects underway in the Greater Seattle and Portland markets, and expect to expand into the Waco, Texas market in the coming months.

Hillstone Capital is a private Investment firm with a primary focus on real estate. We invest capital to improve the lives of our investors, our team members and their families. We create value and leave our developed neighborhoods improved, and positively impacted everywhere we go.
